What we Make

exceptional solid and engineered hardwood floor manufacturing is our passion. we stock the best raw material and can special order additional species by request.

Our Solid hardwoods are available in stock thicknesses of 5/8" and 3/4". we can custom mill solid floors up to 1" thick or more.

our engineered floors come in two standard thicknesses, both featuring an industry leading wear layer depth:

  • 13/16"  = 15 mil core/6 mil wear layer
  • 3/4" = 12 mil core/4 mil wear layer

All lengths and widths are available in both solid and engineered, from 6 to 16 feet in length and 2 to 12" width, including chevron and herringbone patterns. we offer the four different saw methods below to suit the style, taste, and budget of the installation.

We also supply all installation accessories needed, from nosing, HVAC grills, Step up and Step down reducers, to paper, glue, staples and nails.

Wood Species

custom saw methods

PLAIN SAWN

is the most common cut. The log is continuously rotated until reaching the heart. Annual growth rings are 30 degrees or less to the face of the board, resulting in a cathedral pattern.

QUARTER SAWN

has a straight grain that lends itself well to interior design. Here the annual rings intersect the face of the board at a 60 to 90 degree angle. When cutting on the sawmill, each log is sawn at a radial angle into four quarters. Dramatic flecking is present in quarter sawn Oak. Ideal flooring for radiant heat applications.

RIFT SAWN

is cut perpendicular to the annual rings, which are cut between 30 and 60 degrees, with 45 degrees being the optimal cut. Boards have a very linear grain and no flecking. Rift sawn lumber is dimensionally stable and ideal for radiant heat floors.

LIVE SAWN

is not moved once throughout cutting. The log is sawn from top to bottom in the same orientation leaving the heart in the board and exhibits traits of the other three saw methods in one board. Live sawn floors are an excellent choice for character floors.
